You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start straight after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.
 
Who should take this course?
(Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old are ready to step up and enroll in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. If you’re already an Adventure Diver, you only need to complete two more Adventure Dives to earn the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
 
What will you learn?
You will continue your diving education from your Open Water Course, learning how better to use your compass and the effects of diving deeper on your body. You will also learn in more detail the amazing ecosystem in which you are diving in.

 

What does the course involve?

The advanced course involves reading five chapters of the adventures in diving book and answering the corresponding questions, once the questions are completed you will do compete the dive. There are five dives for the course, the "Deep" and "Navigation" dives are compulsory the other three we do are "Fish ID", "Boat" and "Drift". These are chosen as they are the most suited for the diving in Tofo.
