Who should take this course?
If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course. Millions of people have learned to scuba dive and gone on to discover the wonders of the aquatic world through this course.
To enroll in an Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course for under 16s), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

What does the Course involve?

The Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development to understand basic principles of scuba diving - this consists of 5 knowledge reviews within which you answer a series of questions on all things diving. Followed by a series of questions / quizes.

Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills - There are 5 confined (pool) sessions to complete for the course during which you will complete a range of skills to help you deal with any issues that arise.

Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore - There are 4 open water dives to do for the course, during which you will complete a couple of skills on each and then you get to enjoy the dive!

Short on time?

Perhaps look in to doing the theory section online before you come to Tofo. This can be done through Tofo Scuba for $100 deposit (full price $420) 

 

This means the course will take just 2 days here in Tofo, and the price will include pool sessions and the 4 dives you need to become qualified, and of course the lifetime certification.
